Vintage D Ferments T-shirt May '24

This Limited Edition white T-shirt carries the original D Ferments logo, from before the rebrand to DAMO, and celebrates one of the funniest moments in our journey.

Edition #46, JUST LET ME BE YOUR LADYBUG

As a beverage producer, we follow strict hygiene and labeling regulations under the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. From time to time, inspectors drop by unannounced to make sure everything is in order. During one of those visits, a friendly controller noted the name of one of our kombuchas directly in his official report. The flavor he happened to choose made us laugh so much that we decided it deserved a tribute.

The report now lives in legend, reading:

“Specifikt kontrolleret: just let me be your ladybug.”

The kombucha’s name was inspired by our disco favorite Bumblebee Unlimited – Lady Bug, and the story behind it is just as playful. When infusing the kombucha with Muscaris grapes, the amount of ladybugs arriving with the fruit was incredible. We vibed to the song while carefully fishing them out, laughing through the process and feeling that the name had found us more than we had found it.
