The story:

Yuzu Dream was born out of exhaustion, music, and a dream.

When Damian’s dear friend Mati was preparing to open AMATOR, he hosted a few pre-opening popups, and Damian helped him bring two of them to life, day after day. After the first event, celebrating the night’s success, they ended up lying on the floor at 3 AM, listening to Hans Zimmer through Arda Audio’s incredible speakers. Damian remembers getting home around four, catching three hours of sleep, and waking to a day packed with deliveries, long bike rides to the brewery, and another popup with Mati at five.

That morning, somewhere between sleep and sunrise, Damian had a vivid dream, a kiss under a Sakura tree. The image stayed with him, and as the day unfolded, it carried him to Japan in spirit. Between errands and preparations, he visited a few spirit importers, searching for something that could capture that fleeting, cinematic moment.

He wanted the cocktail to taste like that kiss, fresh, exciting, and tender, yet comforting. Sakura always reminds him of soft florals, almond blossom, fresh rain, and delicate honeyed air. To evoke that feeling, he used umeshu genshu, a rich plum wine that adds roundness and a hint of nuttiness. Vodka is married with Japanese yuzu liqueur for its zesty brightness, and to keep it lifted and elegant, he infused the drink with Gyokuro Sencha, one of Japan’s highest-grade green teas from Kyushu Island.

Originally, he called it I Just Want Your Kiss, but every sip brought him back to that dream. So it became Yuzu Dream.

Damian likes to call it Japanese lemonade for adults.
